Low-Cost Acupuncture in Fairfax Clinic
SF Examiner article by Madalyn Suozzo, 10/1/09
How can I afford to take care of myself? Where can I receive professional, regenerative health care treatments regularly and locally?
What possible actions can be taken to address the needs of our community’s health and wellness?
Clearly, we cannot only rely on the government or the pharmaceutical industry with its high profit crisis care for all our health needs. Among other things, we need a revolution in health care. The Common Well’s door is open to experience and realize the collective vision of accessible, affordable and integrative holistic health care in West Marin.
October 7th marks the next level of commitment and action to make The Common Well low cost clinic a viable community holistic health care resource. The participation of our community is crucial for its sustainability and growth. The clinic open house is a calling for our local community and practitioners, inspired by the possibility of affordable health care, to meet one another and fuel the effort it will take to make a difference.
Metamorphosis and health care. Having health care be actually about health care.
The community clinic model is designed to enable those in need of health care access to it. It is a response to the state of our economy, where for many of us paying out of pocket for treatments has become difficult. It is a brilliant response to our changing times.
More about The Low Cost Clinic
The community clinic model is designed to enable those in need of health care access to it. It is a response to the state of our economy, where for many of us paying out of pocket for treatments has become difficult or we just can’t afford health insurance. Access to affordable, regenerative treatments and quality professional are an essential component to our wellness, vitality and quality of life.
For practitioners, the clinic is a response to a desire to offer services at lower rates than those of private practices, in order to reach those who might not otherwise receive it. The Common Well is a location to serve and a place to join like minded colleagues cooperatively in this vision.
Modeled after acupuncture clinic settings in Asia, the holistic low cost clinic provides treatments to clients in a community room. This design serves both to keep the overhead cost economical as well as encourage collaboration among our practitioners. Also, client’s health goals may be supported by a network of professionals. We have expanded the original model to include integrative and complimentary services that represent the modalities of our practitioners and interest of our local community.
Services are provided by independent practitioners working cooperatively.
